We're hosting Bacon's Castle Descendants Day June 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Descendants, family, friends and the general public are welcome to attend. Genealogists from the Library of Virginia will be present throughout the day for one-on-one sessions with descendants. There will also be a recording station available for guests to share oral histories about Bacon's Castle. Register here!
Other activities will include:
Guests will have the opportunity to view artifacts and visit a portion of the house normally inaccessible during regular museum tours.
Architectural Conservator's Tour
Preservation Virginia's architectural conservator will give a special tour of the smokehouse and slave dwelling that includes an overview of the outbuildings' conservation history.
At 2:00 p.m., guests will be asked to gather for a "family" photo.
During the online registration process, you will have the opportunity to purchase a ticket that includes lunch.
